About Us

Ultimately, genuine and permanent peace can come about when diverse communities in a region understand and respect one another, develop economies that are more equitable and interdependent, and share a vision for a common future.

Traditional conflict resolution interventions can help manage disputes and provide a respite from conflict. They promote communication and understanding, recognition of differences, acceptance of diversity and the discovery of common ground. Even the better programs, however, which leave behind trained mediators and local institutions to continue their work, fail to address in a significant way economic factors.

HasNa helps groups with different ethnic and cultural backgrounds to work together to address common interests and achieved mutual goals. Our goal is to strengthen relationships through increased understanding. HasNa has created a unique training model that provides participants with the necessary tools to act as catalysts in the development of their communities. A proactive approach that fully integrates the economic development realities of diverse communities provides a valuable model for sustainable conflict resolution and prevention.

HasNa's model is based on the following principles:
  • Combining conflict resolution and professional development
  • Providing custom-tailored integrated curriculum to meet the participants' immediate needs
  • Working with local partners in targeted regions
  • Including individuals from different ethnic and cultural backgrounds
  • Encouraging participants to implement improvement projects following their HasNa experience
  • Empowering HasNa graduates to network for continuing support and sustainability

We are prepared to work with organizations and people who are interested in implementing the HasNa model anywhere in the world.
